     Major Cecil Leander John Bowen married Maisie Pedley, daughter of Major Oswald Henry Pedley, before 1940.1 He died on 15 May 1940 at Narvik, Norway, killed in action.1,2 He was buried at Narvik Civil Cemetery, Narvik, Norway.2
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 1st Battalion, Irish Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War.
