     Mary Ashman is the daughter of John Ashman.1 She married William Matthews, son of Humphrey Matthews and Margaret Rawlins, on 19 July 1718.1
     From 19 July 1718, her married name became Matthews.1

     John Orr Ewing was born on 29 March 1859.1 He was the son of Sir Archibald Orr Ewing of Ballikinrain, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Lindsay Reid.2 He married, firstly, Ellen Clarissa Kennard, daughter of Howard John Kennard and Ellen Bousfield, on 25 July 1883.3 He married, secondly, Mary Coombe, daughter of Reverend A. B. Coombe, on 24 October 1914.1 He died on 21 February 1916 at age 56.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Dragoon Guards.1
