     Gladys Mary Congdon was born on 25 August 1886.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Ernest Charles Lambert Congdon.3 She married Thomas George Elphinstone, son of John Elphinstone of Glack and Emma Eliza Betham, on 18 June 1913.1 She died in 1973 at Dover, Kent, England.1,2
     From 18 June 1913, her married name became Elphinstone.1

     Sir John Elphinstone of Glack, 11th Bt. was born on 12 August 1924.1 He was the son of Thomas George Elphinstone and Gladys Mary Congdon.2 He married Margaret Doreen Tasker, daughter of Edric Tasker, on 23 May 1953.1 He died on 28 May 2015 at age 90.3,4
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1942 in the Royal Marines.1 He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1950 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He lived Professional Associate, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (A.R.I.C.S.)1 He was a land agent with ICI between 1956 and 1983.1 He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Elphinstone, of Logie Elphinstone, co. Aberdeen and Nova Scotia [N.S., 1701] on 16 December 1970.1 He was a consultant with Gandy & Son, Land Agents and Chartered Surveyors between 1983 and 1988 at Northwich, Cheshire, EnglandG.1 He lived in 2003 at Pilgrims, Churchfields, Sandiway, Cheshire, EnglandG.5

     Marjorie Mary Elphinstone was born on 2 June 1915.1 She was the daughter of Thomas George Elphinstone and Gladys Mary Congdon.2 She married Maj.-Gen. Reginald Carteret de Mussenden Leathes, son of Carteret de Mussenden Leathes, on 1 September 1939.1 She died on 16 November 2000 at age 85.
     From 1 September 1939, her married name became de Mussenden Leathes.
