     Thomas Powys was born on 24 September 1719.2 He was the son of Thomas Powys and Catherina Ravenscroft.2 He married Henrietta Spence, daughter of Thomas Spence, on 18 November 1740.1,2 He died on 2 April 1767 at age 47.1
     In 1731 he inherited the Shropshire estate from his great uncle, Sir Littleton Powys.2 He lived at Lilford, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.1
