     Mary Portman was the daughter of Captain Wyndham Berkeley Portman and Sarah Thornhill.1 She married George Onslow Newton, son of George Newton and Charlotte Onslow, on 7 June 1852.1 She died in 1855.1
     From 7 June 1852, her married name became Newton.1

     Cecilia Florence Burnaby was baptised on 15 June 1835 at Hungerton, Leicestershire, England.2 She was the daughter of Edwyn Burnaby and Anne Caroline Salisbury.1,2 She married George Onslow Newton, son of George Newton and Charlotte Onslow, on 24 June 1858.1 She died on 7 February 1869 at age 33.1
     From 24 June 1858, her married name became Newton.1

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Middlesex Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1

Thomas Cochrane Newton was born on 1 January 1885.1 He was the son of George Onslow Newton and Lady Alice Laura Sophia Cochrane.1 He was baptised on 14 February 1885 at Christ Church, Folkestone, Kent, England.2 He married Helen Thorne, daughter of Augustus Thorne, on 26 April 1924.1 He died in 1976 at Northamptonshire, England.2
     He gained the rank of Colonel.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He lived at The Downs, Croxton, Huntingdonshire, England.3
