     Maj.-Gen. Sir Philip Gordon Grant was born in 1869.3 He was the son of Colonel J. M. Grant.4 He married Annette Emily Mary Coventry, daughter of John Coventry and Mary Emily Weld, on 27 November 1907.4 He died in 1943.3
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.4 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)4 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)4 Maj.-Gen. Sir Philip Gordon Grant usually went by his middle name of Gordon.2 He had two other children.2
