     William Conyngham Vandeleur Burton Conyngham was born on 19 September 1846.1 He was the son of Henry Stuart Burton Conyngham and Alicia Mary Simpson.1 He married Lilias Green, daughter of Thomas Green, on 8 November 1866.1 He died on 5 February 1919 at age 72, without issue.1
     William Conyngham Vandeleur Burton Conyngham gained the rank of officer in the service of the 68th Durham Light Infantry.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Clare in 1868.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Clare.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Clare.1 He lived at Carrigaholt Castle, County Clare, Ireland.1
