Sir John de Assheton was the son of Sir John de Assheton and Margaret Legh.2 He died at Northam, England, drowned in a well.1
Sir John de Assheton fought in the Siege of Noyon in 1370.1 He was a member of the retinue of John of Gaunt in 1386 at Spain.1 In 1403 he was commissioned by King Henry IV to muster forces against the Percy's rebellion.1
