     Daniel Macmillan was born in 1813.1 He was the son of Malcolm Macmillan.1 He married Frances Orridge, daughter of unknown Orridge, in 1850.1 He died in 1857.1
     Daniel Macmillan was a bokseller's apprentice between 1824 and 1831 at Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland.1 He was co-founder of Macmilland and Company, publishers in 1843.1 He had three other children.1
