     Jean Margherita Tollemache was born on 20 November 1927.2 She is the daughter of Captain Humphrey Douglas Tollemache and Elsie Violet Raphael.1,2 She married, firstly, Sir Francis Cullen Grant of Monymusk, 12th Bt., son of Colonel Sir Arthur Grant of Monymusk, 10th Bt. and Evelyn Alice Lindsay Wood, on 29 June 1953.1 She married, secondly, John Norman Stuart Buchan, 2nd Baron Tweedsmuir, son of John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir and Susan Charlotte Grosvenor, in 1980.1
     From 29 June 1953, her married name became Grant.1 From 1980, her married name became Buchan.1 After her marriage, Jean Margherita Tollemache was styled as Baroness Tweedsmuir in 1980. She lived in 2003 at Flat 2, The White House, 24 Dirleton Avenue, North Berwick, East Lothian, ScotlandG.1

     Sir Francis Cullen Grant of Monymusk, 12th Bt. was born on 5 October 1914.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir Arthur Grant of Monymusk, 10th Bt. and Evelyn Alice Lindsay Wood.2 He married Jean Margherita Tollemache, daughter of Captain Humphrey Douglas Tollemache and Elsie Violet Raphael, on 29 June 1953.2 He died on 31 August 1966 at age 51.1
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Grant, of Monymusk and Cullen, Buchan [N.S., 1705] on 18 July 1944.1
