     Edward Chetwynd-Stapylton was born on 10 July 1855.1 He was the son of Reverend William Chetwynd-Stapylton and Elizabeth Biscoe Tritton.2 He married, firstly, Beatrice Mary Cowie, daughter of Henry Cowie, on 27 September 1879.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Gordon Ker, daughter of Captain Robert W. Ker, on 12 August 1924.1 He died on 25 April 1938 at age 82.1
