     Lt.-Col. Eric Richard Thesiger was born on 17 February 1874.¹ He was the son of Frederick Augustus Thesiger, 2nd Baron Chelmsford of Chelmsford and Adria Fanny Heath.² He married, firstly, Pearl Marie Coupland, daughter of John Coupland, on 29 October 1904.¹ He married, secondly, Sydney Hilda Hutton-Croft, daughter of George Arthur Hutton-Croft, on 3 October 1929.¹ He married, thirdly, Mary Pudsey, daughter of Reverend F. W. Pudsey, on 27 March 1953.¹ He died on 2 October 1961 at age 87.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He was Page-of-Honour to HM Queen Victoria.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the T.A.R.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded twice and mentioed in despatches twice.¹ He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Captain in the T.A.R.¹ He was awarded the Order of the Crown of Belgium.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.¹

     Pearl Marie Coupland was the daughter of John Coupland.² She married Lt.-Col. Eric Richard Thesiger, son of Frederick Augustus Thesiger, 2nd Baron Chelmsford of Chelmsford and Adria Fanny Heath, on 29 October 1904.¹ She died on 14 February 1922.¹
     From 29 October 1904, her married name became Thesiger.¹

     Osric Wilfred Thesiger was born on 5 October 1905.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Eric Richard Thesiger and Pearl Marie Coupland.² He married Cecily Mary Vandertaelen, daughter of F. Vandertaelen, on 27 September 1934.¹ He died on 29 March 1977 at age 71.¹
     He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Acting Captain in the Indian Army.¹

     Cecily Mary Vandertaelen was the daughter of F. Vandertaelen.² She married Osric Wilfred Thesiger, son of Lt.-Col. Eric Richard Thesiger and Pearl Marie Coupland, on 27 September 1934.¹ She died in 1988.¹
     From 27 September 1934, her married name became Thesiger.¹

     Michael Eric Thesiger was born on 13 January 1936.¹ He was the son of Osric Wilfred Thesiger and Cecily Mary Vandertaelen.² He married Patricia Low Waddington, daughter of George Waddington, on 3 October 1964.¹ He died on 6 February 2019 at age 83.³
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was appointed Knight of Grace and Devotion, Sovereign Military Order of Malta.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants (F.C.A.)¹ He lived in 2003 at Ridgecrest, Church Road, St. John's, Redhill, Surrey, England^G.¹
