     Marion Denison Pender was born on 4 December 1856.1 She was the daughter of Sir John Pender and Emma Denison.1 She married Sir George William Des Voeux, son of Reverend Henry Des Voeux and Frances Elizabeth Hutton, on 24 July 1875.2 She died on 28 July 1955 at age 98.1
     From 24 July 1875, her married name became Des Voeux.

     Sir George William Des Voeux was baptised on 20 September 1834 at British Chaplaincy, Baden, Germany. He was the son of Reverend Henry Des Voeux and Frances Elizabeth Hutton. He married Marion Denison Pender, daughter of Sir John Pender and Emma Denison, on 24 July 1875.2 He died on 15 December 1909 at age 75.3
     Sir George William Des Voeux usually went by his middle name of William.2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)1
