     Emily Idonea Sophia Le Marchant was born circa 1842 at Rochester, Kent, England.1 She was the daughter of General Sir John Gaspard Le Marchant. She married William Romilly, 2nd Baron Romilly, son of John Romilly, 1st Baron Romilly and Caroline Charlotte Otter, on 9 February 1865 at Holy Trinity, St. Marylebone, London, England.1 She died on 17 March 1866.
     Her married name became Romilly.

     General Sir John Gaspard Le Marchant was born in 1803.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. John Gaspard Le Marchant and Mary Carey.1 He married Margaret Anne Taylor, daughter of Reverend Robert Taylor, on 28 May 1839.1 He died on 6 February 1874.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 11th Regiment.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Newfoundland.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He was awarded the Knight of hte Order of St. Ferdinand 1st and 3rd Class.1 He was awarded the Knight Commander, Order of San Carlos of Spain.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Madras.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Halifax.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Malta.1

     Sir Samuel Romilly was born on 1 March 1757. He married Anne Garbett, daughter of Francis Garbett and Elizabeth Walsham, on 3 January 1798. He died on 2 November 1818 at age 61, by cutting his own throat, after the death of his wife.
     He wrote the book Thoughts on Executive Justice, published 1786 (ASIN: B00AI6VLOK.)2 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in 1800.2
