     Nicholas Griffin was born circa 1476.1 He was the son of John Griffin and Emmote Wheathill.1 He married, firstly, Anne Throckmorton, daughter of Sir Thomas Throckmorton.1 He married, secondly, Alice Thornburgh, daughter of John Thornburgh.1 He died on 15 May 1509.1
     He succeeded as the 10th Lord Latimer, of Braybrook, Northamptonshire [E., 1299] on 26 September 1485, de jure.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1501.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northamptonshire in 1502.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1504.1
