     George Carnegie was born on 18 November 1726.2 He was the son of Sir John Carnegie of Pittarrow, 2nd Bt. and Mary Burnett.1 He married Susan Scott, daughter of David Scott, on 1 March 1769.2 He died on 12 April 1799 at age 72.2
     He fought in the Battle of Culloden in 1746, after which he escaped to Sweden.2 He was a merchant at Gothenburg, SwedenG.2 He purchased estate of Pittarrow in 1767 from Sir David Carnegie, 4th Bt.1

Ughtred Elliott Carnegy Carnegy, 12th of Lour was born in 1886.2 He was the son of Francis Edward Joseph and Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegy of Lour.2,3 He married Violet Henderson, daughter of Henry William Henderson and Elvira de Orihuela, on 8 November 1919.1 He died on 1 February 1973.1
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Lour, Forfar, Angus, ScotlandG.1

     Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegy of Lour was born in 1862.2,3 She was the daughter of Patrick Carnegie and Isabella Grace MacNab Butter.1 She married Francis Edward Joseph on 20 September 1881.1 She died on 25 January 1954.1
     She was given the name of Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegie at birth.1 From 20 September 1881, her married name became Joseph.3 In 1915 her name was legally changed to Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegie after succeeding to Lour.1

     Patrick Carnegie was born on 20 May 1825.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Alexander Carnegie and Isabella Don.1 He married Isabella Grace MacNab Butter, daughter of Donald Butter, on 25 November 1854.1 He died in 1886.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)1 He was Commissioner of the Indian Service.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)1

     Patrick Carnegie of Lour was born on 25 February 1757.1 He was the son of Patrick Carnegie of Lour and Margaret Graham.1 He married Margaret St. Clair Bower, daughter of Alexander Bower, on 20 April 1789.1 He died on 24 November 1819 at age 62.1
     He lived at Lour, Scotland.1 He had three other sons.1
