     George Carnegie was born on 18 November 1726.2 He was the son of Sir John Carnegie of Pittarrow, 2nd Bt. and Mary Burnett.1 He married Susan Scott, daughter of David Scott, on 1 March 1769.2 He died on 12 April 1799 at age 72.2
     George Carnegie fought in the Battle of Culloden in 1746, after which he escaped to Sweden.2 He was a merchant at Gothenburg, Sweden.2 He purchased estate of Pittarrow in 1767 from Sir David Carnegie, 4th Bt.1 He had three other sons and three daughters.2

     Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegy of Lour was born in 1862.2,3 She was the daughter of Patrick Carnegie.1 She married Francis Edward Joseph in 1881.3 She died on 25 January 1954.1
     Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegy of Lour was baptised with the name of Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegie.1 From 1881, her married name became Joseph.3 On 1915 her name was legally changed to Isabella Eliza Butter Carnegie after succeeding to Lour.1
