Selina Beresford was born on 21 February 1859 at Hampstead, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Francis Marcus Beresford and Elizabeth Green.1,2 She married Brig.-Gen. Sir Hay Frederick Donaldson, son of Sir Stuart Alexander Donaldson and Amelia Cowper, on 15 July 1884.1 She died on 11 August 1938 at age 79.2
