     Captain Henry Carew was born on 6 December 1757.1 He was the son of Sir John Carew, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Holdsworth.2 He married Elizabeth Maria Fownes, daughter of Reverend Henry Fownes.1 He died on 22 October 1840 at age 82.1
     Captain Henry Carew gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1

     Sir Thomas Carew, 6th Bt. was born on 4 January 1755 at Tiverton, Devon, England.1,3 He was the son of Sir John Carew, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Holdsworth.2 He married Jane Smallwood, daughter of Reverend Charles Smallwood, on 19 June 1777.1 He died in April 1805 at age 50.1
     Sir Thomas Carew, 6th Bt. succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Carew, of Haccombe, co. Devon [E., 1661] on 28 January 1759.1 He matriculated at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 18 February 1773.1
     He also had five daughters.1

     Jane Smallwood was the daughter of Reverend Charles Smallwood.2 She married Sir Thomas Carew, 6th Bt., son of Sir John Carew, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Holdsworth, on 19 June 1777.1 She died on 4 May 1838.1 Her will was probated in June 1838.1
     From 19 June 1777, her married name became Carew.

     Sir Henry Carew, 7th Bt. was born on 10 January 1779.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Carew, 6th Bt. and Jane Smallwood.2 He married Elizabeth Palk, daughter of Walter Palk, on 3 October 1806.1 He died on 31 October 1830 at age 51 at Exeter, Devon, England.3 His will was probated in May 1831.3
     Sir Henry Carew, 7th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.4 He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 13 February 1797.4 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Carew, of Haccombe, co. Devon [E., 1661] in April 1805.1 He lived at Haccombe, Devon, England.1
