     Reverend Robert Hedges Maunsell-Eyre was born in 1812.2 He is the son of Richard Maunsell and Lady Catherine Hare.3,1 He married Anna Maria Stone Evans, daughter of Eyre Evans and Anna Maunsell, on 5 February 1836.1
     He was given the name of Robert Hedges Maunsell at birth.2 His name was legally changed to Robert Hedges Maunsell-Eyre on succeeding to a portion of the estates of his great-uncle, Robert Hedges Eyre.2
