     Jean Clerk is the daughter of Alexander Clerk of Glendoik.2 She married Duncan Campbell, son of Sir James Campbell of Auchinbreck, 5th Bt. and Janet MacLeod.1
     Her married name became Campbell.1

     Sir James Campbell of Auchinbreck, 6th Bt. was born in 1721.1 He was the son of Duncan Campbell and Jean Clerk.2 He died on 1 January 1814, without issue.1
     Sir James Campbell of Auchinbreck, 6th Bt. succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Campbell, of Auchinbreck [N.S., 1628] on 14 October 1756.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 49th Regiment.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became temporarily dormant.3
