     Lady Elisabeth Olive Cairns was born on 12 July 1944.1 She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral David Charles Cairns, 5th Earl Cairns and Barbara Jeanne Harrisson Burgess.2 She married Captain Martin Ralph Lowe, son of Major Ralph Mason Lowe, on 27 May 1965.1 She died on 13 October 1998 at age 54.1
     From 27 May 1965, her married name became Lowe.
