Edward John Stanley, 6th Baron Sheffield was born on 9 October 1907.1 He was the son of Arthur Lyulph Stanley, 5th Baron Sheffield and Margaret Evelyn Gordon.1 He married, firstly, Lady Victoria Audrey Beatrice Chetwynd-Talbot, daughter of Charles John Alton Chetwynd-Talbot, Viscount Ingestre and Lady Winifred Constance Hester Paget, on 3 March 1932.2 He and Lady Victoria Audrey Beatrice Chetwynd-Talbot were divorced in 1936.2 He married, secondly, Edith Louisa Sylvia Hawkes, daughter of Arthur Hawkes, on 18 January 1944.1 He and Edith Louisa Sylvia Hawkes were divorced in 1948.1 He married, thirdly, Thérèse Husson, daughter of General Edouard Husson, on 6 April 1951.1 He and Thérèse Husson were divorced in 1957.1 He married, fourthly, Kathleen Margaret Wright, daughter of Cecil Murray Wright, on 15 September 1961.1 He died on 3 March 1971 at age 63.1
