     Catherine Stewart-Brown was born on 4 March 1899.2 She was the daughter of Henry Stewart-Brown and Ellen Sophia Timmis.1 She married Sir John Richard Hobhouse, son of Rt. Hon. Henry Hobhouse and Margaret Heyworth Potter, on 23 November 1926.1 She died in November 1991 at age 92 at Taunton, Somerset, England.1,2
     From 23 November 1926, her married name became Hobhouse.1
