Sir Brian Broughton, 1st Bt. was born on 23 May 1618.1 He was the son of Thomas Broughton and Frances Bagot.1 He married Bridget Lucy, daughter of Sir Thomas Lucy and Alicia Spencer, before 1648.2 He died on 30 July 1708 at age 90.1 He was buried at Broughton, Staffordshire, England.2
Sir Brian Broughton, 1st Bt. held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire from 1660 to 1661.2 He was invested as a Knight on 13 June 1660 at Whitehall, London, England.2 He was created 1st Baronet Broughton, of Broughton, co. Stafford [England] on 10 March 1660/61.1
