     Margaret Duff was born on 20 December 1720.¹ She was the daughter of Patrick Duff of Craigston and Mary Urquhart.¹ She married Alexander Gordon, son of Alexander Davidson and Marie Gordon, before 1736.¹ She died on 13 November 1801 at age 80.¹
     From before 1736, her married name became Gordon.¹

     Alexander Gordon was born on 25 May 1716.¹ He was the son of Alexander Davidson and Marie Gordon.¹ He married Margaret Duff, daughter of Patrick Duff of Craigston and Mary Urquhart, before 1736.¹ He died on 24 January 1760 at age 43, drowned in the Ythan River.¹
