     Jean Duff was the daughter of Alexander Duff and Lady Anne Duff.1 She married Sir James Grant of Grant, 8th Bt., son of Sir Ludovick Grant of Grant, 7th Bt. and Lady Margaret Ogilvie, on 4 January 1763 at Bath, Somerset, England.1 She died on 15 February 1805.1
     Jean Duff lived at Hatton, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3 She was also known as Jane Duff.3 From 4 January 1763, her married name became Grant.1

     Lady Janet Duff was born in 1727.2 She was the daughter of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife and Jean Grant.1 She married, firstly, William Gordon of Park, Bt. in 1745.2 She married, secondly, George Hay of Mountblary, son of Andrew Hay and Mary Allardice, after 1751.3 She died on 3 March 1758 at Carnousie House, Forglen, Banffshire, Scotland.2,3
     From 1745, her married name became Gordon.2 From after 1751, her married name became Hay.3

     He was attainted after Culloden.1

     Sir John James Gordon was born in 1749 at Boulogne, France.1 He was the son of William Gordon of Park, Bt. and Lady Janet Duff.2 He married Hannah Corner.2 He died in 1781, killed in action.2
     Sir John James Gordon gained the rank of officer in the service of the French Army.1 He fought in the Battle of Bassein in 1781.2
     He was "despatched to India with some difficulty."2 He had three children.2
