Rear-Admiral Archibald Cochrane was born on 20 June 1874.1 He was the son of Vice-Admiral Basil Edward Cochrane and Cornelia Ramsay Owen.2 He married Maye Amélie Lucile Brooke, daughter of Colonel Alured de Vere Brooke and Mary Augustus Dobrée, on 20 April 1904.2 He died on 15 July 1952 at age 78.2
