     Jane Briscoe was born on 18 September 1799 at Penley, Flintshire, Wales.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Briscoe and Frances Weaver.1 She was baptised on 8 January 1800.1 She married, firstly, Robert Grindley, son of Robert Powell Grindley and Jane Roe, on 24 February 1829 at Ellesmere, Shropshire, England.2 She married, secondly, John Welch.2 She died on 21 July 1889 at age 89 at Whitchurch, Shropshire, England.2
     From 24 February 1829, her married name became Grindley.2 Her married name became Welch.2
