Sir Harry Goring, 4th Bt. was baptised on 16 September 1679 at Slaugham, Sussex, England.1 He was the son of Henry Goring and Mary Covert.1 He married Elizabeth Mathew, daughter of Admiral Sir George Mathew, before 25 February 1714.1 He died on 12 November 1731 at age 52 at Horsham, Sussex, England.1 He was buried on 16 November 1731 at Billingshurst, Sussex, England.1 His will (dated 25 July 1731) was probated on 26 November 1732.1
Sir Harry Goring, 4th Bt. held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Horsham between April 1707 and 1708.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Steyning between February 1709 and 1715.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 31st Foot.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Bowyer, of Leighthorne, co. Sussex [E., 1678] in January 1712/13.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Horsham between 1715 and June 1715.1
He had eight younger sons.1

Sir Harry Goring, 6th Bt. was born on 26 April 1739.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Mathew Goring, 5th Bt. and Mary Blackburn.1 He was baptised on 29 June 1739 at Washington, Sussex, England.1 He married, firstly, John Anna Forster, daughter of John Forster, on 8 September 1767 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Fisher, daughter of Thomas Fisher, on 23 October 1777 at St. Andrew's Church, Holborn, London, England.1 He died on 1 December 1824 at age 85.1
