Thomas Peers Williams and Emily Bacon, on 15 January 1866.3 He died on 19 November 1919 at age 76.4
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scots Guards.3

     Thomas de Clifford, 8th Lord Clifford was born on 25 March 1414.1 He was the son of Sir John de Clifford, 7th Lord Clifford and Elizabeth Percy.1 He married Joan Dacre, daughter of Thomas Dacre, 6th Lord Dacre and Lady Philippe Neville, in March 1424.1 He died on 22 May 1455 at age 41 at St. Albans, Hertfordshire, EnglandG, killed in action.1 He was buried at Abbey Church, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Lord Clifford [E., 1299] on 13 March 1421/22.1 He fought in the First Battle of St. Albans on 22 May 1455.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2

     He succeeded as the 7th Lord Dacre, of Gilsland [E., 1473] on 12 August 1573, which he assumed on the death of his brother.1
