     Charles Douglas Blakiston was born on 26 June 1868.1 He was the son of Charles Robert Blakiston and Mary Anna Harper.1 He married Ethel Anne Whishaw, daughter of John Henley Whishaw, in 1908.1 He died on 10 July 1950 at age 82.1
