     Her married name became Olivera.¹

     Manuela Olivera was born in 1850.¹ She was the daughter of Jose Antonio Francisco Olivera and Maria Francisca Olivera.¹

     Maria de Los Angeles Francisca Olivera was born on 3 October 1826 at Santa Barbara, California, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of Secundino Olivera and Maria Charlotte de la Ascencion Stewart.¹ She married Juan Capistrano Ayala on 2 December 1847 at Santa Barbara, California, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Juan Capistrano Ayala was born on 22 October 1815.¹ He married Maria de Los Angeles Francisca Olivera, daughter of Secundino Olivera and Maria Charlotte de la Ascencion Stewart, on 2 December 1847 at Santa Barbara, California, U.S.A.^G.¹ He died on 30 October 1895 at age 80 at Montecito, California, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Maria Soledad del Refugio Ayala was born on 21 April 1848 at Santa Barbara, California, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of Juan Capistrano Ayala and Maria de Los Angeles Francisca Olivera.¹ She died on 17 July 1905 at age 57 at Santa Barbara, California, U.S.A.^G.¹
     A devoted Catholic and homemaker, she habitually arose early, attended Mass, picked vegetables from her large garden, and took them to her neighbor's home where they cooked large quantities of soup. She would occasionally join the
'elite' neighbor ladies playing spanish whist and drinking tea, but this was only an infrequent treat, since the care of her many children was a full-time
job.¹
