     Pardon Snell was born circa 1836 at Little Compton, Connecticut, U.S.A..1 He married, firstly, Mary Quintal, daughter of Arthur Quintal and Mary Christian, on 18 December 1864 at Norfolk Island.1 He married, secondly, Mary McCoy, daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian, on 19 July 1868 at Norfolk Island.1
     Pardon Snell emigrated to Norfolk Island arriving on before 1864.1 He was a whaler, farmer, and sportsman.1
