convex nose, high forhead, thin lips, lightest skin and narrowest nose of
Norfolk women).1 Her married name became Christian.1

     Stephen John Christian was born circa 1915 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1 He was the son of Cornelius Stephen Holder Christian and Rita Lawrence Taylor.1 He married Lorna Amelia (?) in 1942 at Norfolk Island.1 He died in 1983.1
     He served in World War II as a private with the 2/2 Australian MG/BN.1 Reference: 'NIG.1'

     Holder Stanley Christian was born on 17 August 1920 at Norfolk Island.1 He was the son of Cornelius Stephen Holder Christian and Rita Lawrence Taylor.1 He died on 23 July 1996 at age 75 at Norfolk Island.1
     Holder Stanley Christian also went by the nick-name of Hodder. He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Private in the service of the 2nd Advanced Ordnance Workshop, 77 Australian LAD, and 127th Australian General Transport Company. He held the office of Magistrate of Norfolk Island between 1977 and 1990. Before the war, he had been a mechanic in Maher's Garage. After the war, he worked as a whaler for many years. Then he joined the staff of the Paradise Hotel, then Burns-Philp, then the Customs Department where he worked until he retired. He also was active for 26 years with the Returned Servicemens League.1
