     Hon. Walter Arbuthnott was born on 21 November 1808.2 He was the son of John Arbuthnott, 8th Viscount of Arbuthnott and Margaret Ogilvy.1 He married Anna Maria Ottley, daughter of Brook Taylor Ottley, on 16 May 1835.2 He died on 5 January 1891 at age 82.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 52nd Light Infantry.2 He lived at Hatton, ScotlandG.2

     Lt.-Col. Walter Charles Warner Arbuthnott, 13th Viscount Arbuthnott was born on 22 October 1847.1 He was the son of Hon. Walter Arbuthnott and Anna Maria Ottley.1 He married Emma Marion Hall Parlby, daughter of Reverend John Hall Parlby and Emma Admonition Radcliffe, on 15 January 1878.1 He died on 9 August 1920 at age 72.1
     He fought in the Second Afghan War in 1880.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.2 He succeeded as the 13th Viscount of Arbuthnott, of co. Kincardine [S., 1641] on 8 November 1917.1 He succeeded as the 13th Lord Inverbervie, of co. Kincardine [S., 1641] on 8 November 1917.1

     Anna Maria Ottley was the daughter of Brook Taylor Ottley.1 She married Hon. Walter Arbuthnott, son of John Arbuthnott, 8th Viscount of Arbuthnott and Margaret Ogilvy, on 16 May 1835.2 She died on 17 March 1891.2
     From 16 May 1835, her married name became Arbuthnott.2
