     Thomas Blennerhassett is the son of John Blennerhassett and Janet de Martindale.2
     Thomas Blennerhassett claimed the advowson of Great Orton, Carlisle, Cumberland, England, in 1578.2 In 1578 he claimed the right to present the living of Orton, as co-heor of Sir Gyles de Orton.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carlisle in 1584/85.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carlisle in 1584/85.1 He was probably the Thomas Blennerhassett, of Flimby, to whom Sir Edward Denny, Governor of Kerry and Desmond, granted Ballycarty Castle, Ballyseedy, County Kerry, Ireland, and other forfeited estates of the 15th Earl of Desmond in 1590.2 He lived at Flimby, Maryport, Cumberland, England.2
