     Edward Masterson was born circa 1730 at Fairfax County, Virginia, U.S.A..1 He was the son of James Masterson and Mary (?).2 He married Mary Coleman, daughter of Richard Coleman and Eleanor Critcher, before 1752 at Fairfax County, Virginia, U.S.A..1 He died before 1788 at Wayne County, North Carolina, U.S.A..1 His will was probated on 20 April 1790.2
     Edward Masterson fought in the French and Indian Wars from 1755 to 1756, as a trooper.2

     James Masterson was born on 4 July 1752 at Fairfax County, Virginia, U.S.A..1 He was the son of Edward Masterson and Mary Coleman.1 He married Margaret Wymore, daughter of John Wymore, in 1781 at Lexington, Kentucky, U.S.A..2 He died on 15 December 1838 at age 86.2
     He had 13 children.2
