     Edward Masterson was born circa 1730 at Fairfax County, Virginia, U.S.A.G.1 He was the son of James Masterson and Mary (?)2 He married Mary Coleman, daughter of Richard Coleman and Eleanor Critcher, before 1752 at Fairfax County, Virginia, U.S.A.G.1 He died before 1788 at Wayne County, North Carolina, U.S.A.G.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 20 April 1790.2
     He fought in the French and Indian Wars from 1755 to 1756, as a trooper.2
