     Evelyn Jane Nobbs was born on 8 December 1889 at Norfolk Island.1 She is the daughter of George Rawdon ffrench Nobbs and Emily Harriett Capron.1 She married unknown Evans at Norfolk Island.2
     Her married name became Evans.2 She fought in the First World War, as staff nurse, Choubra Infectious Hospital, 2nd & 3rd Australian General Hospitals, and the 3rd Australian Casualty Clearing Station.2 She was decorated with the award of Royal Red Cross Medal.2
