     Sir Hugh Walter Kingwell Wontner was born on 22 October 1908 at Acton, Middlesex, England.1 He was the son of Arthur Wontner and Rosecleer Alice Amelia Blanche Kingwell.1 He married Catherine Irvin, daughter of Thomas William Irvin and Christiana Leech, on 4 January 1936 in a Tynemouth marriage.1 He died on 25 November 1992 at age 84.1
     Sir Hugh Walter Kingwell Wontner was a hotelier.1
