Matthew Robinson-Morris, 2nd Baron Rokeby was born in 1713.1 He was the son of Matthew Robinson and Elizabeth Drake.1 He died on 30 November 1800, unmarried.1
Matthew Robinson-Morris, 2nd Baron Rokeby was baptised with the name of Matthew Robinson.1 He was educated at Westminster College, Westminster, London, England.1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1730.1 He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1734 with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.).1 He was a Fellow between 1734 and 1800 at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 On 1746 his name was legally changed to Matthew Robinson-Morris.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1746.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Canterbury between 1747 and 1761.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Rokeby, of Armagh [I., 1777] on 10 October 1794.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Robinson [G.B., 1730] on 10 October 1794.1
