     Major Charles Sackville Hamilton was born on 4 December 1885.1 He was the son of Sackville Berkeley Hamilton and Eva Maria Eleanor Benson.1 He married Averina Jane Oliver, daughter of William Richardson Oliver and Hermione Constance Harriet Brasier-Creagh, on 25 November 1918.1 He died in 1971.1
     He was educated at St. Columba's College, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1910 in the service of the West African Frontier Force.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the East Lancashire Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

      Averina Jane Oliver also went by the nick-name of Reena.1 From 25 November 1918, her married name became Hamilton.1
