John Wingfield Malcolm, 1st and last Baron Malcolm of Poltalloch was born on 16 April 1833.2 He was the son of John Malcolm, 14th of Poltalloch and Isabella Harriet Wingfield.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Alice Frederica Irby, daughter of George Ives Irby, 4th Baron Boston and Fanny Elizabeth Hopkins-Northey, on 25 July 1861.1 He married, secondly, Marie Jane Lilian (?) on 3 November 1897.3 He died on 6 March 1902 at age 68, without issue.4

(Conservative) for Argyllshire between 1886 and 1892.3 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1892.1 He was created 1st Baron Malcolm of Poltalloch, co.
