     Sir William Johnston was the son of Richard Johnston and Susanna Johnston.2 He married Nichola Anne Acheson, daughter of Sir Nicholas Acheson, 4th Bt. and Anne Taylor.3 He died on 22 September 1722 at Gilford Castle, County Down, IrelandG.3,1
     In 1700 He inherited the Gilford estates of his uncle, Sir John Magill, 1st Bt.2 He was appointed Knight in 1714.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Down in 1717.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Armagh in 1721.2

     Richard Johnston was born on 6 March 1710 at Gilford, County Down, IrelandG.2,1 He was the son of Sir William Johnston and Nichola Anne Acheson.1 He married Catherine Gill, daughter of Reverend John Gill, in 1737.1 He died on 11 February 1758 at age 47 at Gilford, County Down, IrelandG.2,1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Armagh in 1733.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Down in 1735.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Monaghan in 1738.1 He lived at Gilford, County Down, IrelandG.1

     Catherine Gill was born in 1709 at Aghnamullen, County Monaghan, IrelandG.2 She was the daughter of Reverend John Gill.1 She married Richard Johnston, son of Sir William Johnston and Nichola Anne Acheson, in 1737.1 She died in September 1794.1
     From 1737, her married name became Johnston.2

     Major Acheson Johnston Crozier was born in 1760 at Stramore, IrelandG.1 He was the son of Colin Crozier and Nicolina Johnston.1 He married Jemima Wyse, daughter of Thomas Wyse, on 11 September 1783 at Kingsbridge, Devon, EnglandG.1 He died in April 1807 at Kingsbridge, Devon, EnglandG.1 He was buried at Parish Church of St. Edmund, King and Martyrs, Kingsbridge, Devon, EnglandG.1
     He was educated at Ballintore School, County Kildare, IrelandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Marines.1 He fought in the action at the forts of La Petite Ansi d'Arlette, Martinique, where he was badly wounded.1

     Sir Richard Johnston, 1st Bt. was born on 1 August 1743.1 He was the son of Richard Johnston and Catherine Gill.1 He married Anne Alexander, daughter of William Alexander and Mary Porter, in October 1764 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.2,3 He died on 22 April 1795 at age 51.1 His will (dated 10 December 1794) was proven (by probate) on 24 June 1795.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Down in 1765.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Armagh in 1771.1 He was created 1st Baronet Johnston, of Gilford, co. Down [Ireland] on 27 July 1772, for his sevices against the insurgents.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kilbeggan [Ireland] in 1776.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Blessington [Ireland] between 1783 and 1795.3
