     Rt. Hon. Charles Bathurst was the son of Charles Bragge and Anne Bathurst.1 He married Charlotte Addington, daughter of Anthony Addington, on 1 August 1788.1 He died on 13 August 1831.1
     Rt. Hon. Charles Bathurst was baptised with the name of Charles Bragge.1 He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Honorary Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.).1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Monmouth between 1790 and 1796.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bristol between 1796 and 1812.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1801.1 He held the office of Treasurer of the Navy between 1801 and 1803.1 He held the office of Secretary of War between 1803 and 1804.1 On 11 May 1804 his name was legally changed to Charles Bathurst by Royal Licence.1 He held the office of Master of the Mint between 1806 and 1810.1 He held the office of President of the Board of Control in 1812.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bodmin between 1812 and 1818.1 He held the office of Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster between 1812 and 1823.1 He held the office of a Bencher of Lincoln's Inn in 1813.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Harwich between 1818 and 1823.1 He lived at Lydney Park, Gloucestershire, England.1
