Sir William Gostwick, 5th Bt. was the son of John Gostwick and Martha Hammond.1 He married Loveday Gostwicke, daughter of Edward Gostwicke and Margery (?), after 16 September 1760.1 He died circa May 1766, without issue.1 He was buried on 6 May 1766 at North Tawton, Devon, England.1 His will (dated 16 September 1760) was probated on 9 June 1766.1
Sir William Gostwick, 5th Bt. gained the rank of officer in the service of the Irish service.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Gostwick, of Willington, co. Bedford [E., 1611] circa January 1719/20.1
On his death, his baronetcy presumably became extinct.1
