     James Havard Hunter was born on 14 October 1855.1 He was the son of Matthew Dysart Hunter and Isabella Dorothea Buckle.3 He married Jessie Louisa Scott-Kerr, daughter of William Scott-Kerr and Frances Louisa Fennessy, on 26 October 1882.1 He died on 24 May 1924 at age 68.1
     He lived at Anton's Hill, Berwickshire, ScotlandG.4 He lived at Anton's Hill, Kelso, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.1
