     Sir Alexander Keith Maitland, 8th Bt. was born on 26 October 1920.2 He was the son of George Ramsay Maitland and Jean Hamilton Findlay.3 He married Lavender Mary Jex Jackson, daughter of Francis William Jex Jackson, on 17 March 1951.2 He died on 18 July 1963 at age 42.2
     He was educated Rugby and Peterhouse Cambridge.2 He gained the title of 8th Baronet Maitland. He was Major QO Cameron Hldrs WW II, Malaya in 1948.2 He lived in 2003 at Burnside, Forfar, Angus, Scotland.2
