     Robert Henry Berney was born on 5 May 1871.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Hanson Berney, 9th Bt. and Jane Dorothea Bloxam.1 He married, firstly, Edith Ann Wilson, daughter of Daniel Wilson, on 24 December 1904.1 He married, secondly, Salome Constance Dawes, daughter of Commander Edwin Dawes, on 20 December 1938.1 He died on 9 February 1961 at age 89, without issue.1
     Robert Henry Berney graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was an assistant master at St. George's School, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was an assistant master at Godstowe School.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
