     Sir John Bellew, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1660.2 He was the son of Sir Patrick Bellew, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Barnewall.1 He married, firstly, Mary Margaret Taylor, daughter of Edward Taylor and Clare Humphries, on 1 December 1685.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Curling, daughter of Edward Curling, after 1708.1 He died on 23 July 1734.1 His will (dated 26 May 1733) was probated on 3 August 1734.2
     Sir John Bellew, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Bellew, of Barmeath, co. Louth [I., 1688] in January 1715/16.1
     He had four other children by his first wife, and three daughters and four other children by his second wife.1,2

     Mary Margaret Taylor was the daughter of Edward Taylor and Clare Humphries.1,2 She married Sir John Bellew, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Patrick Bellew, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Barnewall, on 1 December 1685.1 She died in 1708.1
     Mary Margaret Taylor was also known as Clare Taylor.2 From 1 December 1685, her married name became Bellew.1
