     Major Bryan Edward Bellew, 8th Baron Bellew of Barmeath was born on 19 March 1943.1 He is the son of James Bryan Bellew, 7th Baron Bellew of Barmeath and Mary Elizabeth Hill.1 He married Rosemary Sarah Hitchcock, daughter of Major Reginald Kilner Brasier Hitchcock, on 18 April 1968.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Irish Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baron Bellew of Barmeath, co. Louth [I., 1848] on 3 August 2010.2 He succeeded to the title of 14th Baronet Bellew, of Barmeath, co. Louth [I., 1688] on 3 August 2010.2

      From 18 April 1968, her married name became Bellew.1 As a result of her marriage, Rosemary Sarah Hitchcock was styled as Baroness Bellew of Barmeath on 3 August 2010.
